Marian Leonard peacefully passed away June 6, 2018, at the age of 93 at Autumn Pointe Assisted Living facility in Ft. Calhoun, where she has lived for the past seven years. She was a longtime resident of Blair after she retired from her position as Physical Therapist at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

She is preceded in death by her son, Delbert (Butch), a grandson, Delbert Jr., her brother, Warren Shields, and her sister, Maysel Mogenson. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Gentry of Derby, Kan., daughter-in-law, Donna Leonard of Blair, sister, Eleanor Pigsley of Council Bluffs, eight grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation is at Maher Funeral Home, 121 S. 7th Street, Council Bluffs, on Friday, June 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside services will be at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, 1350 East Pierce Street, Council Bluffs, at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9.

It was Marian’s wishes that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Children’s Hospital in Omaha or to The American Red Cross.
