Donald K. Fleming, 74

Services were Saturday at Fremont Presbyterian Church for Donald K. Fleming, 74, who died Wednesday, July 12, 1989, at his home in rural Herman. Rev. Thomas E. Robson of Tekamah officiated. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Donald K. Fleming was born November 30, 1914, in rural Morse Bluffs, Nebraska. He grew up on a farm southeast of Morse Bluff.

After his marriage to Evelyn E. Petersen on October 1, 1940, at Fremont, he farmed west of Cedar Bluffs and then at Ceresco before moving to a farm west of Herman in 1957.

He was a member of Mackey Chapter No. 24, Royal Arch Masons at Tekamah; First Presbyterian Church at Tekamah; a member of Evergreen Chapter No. 138, Order of Eastern Star at Cedar Bluffs, Fremont Masonic Lodge No. 15, A.F. & A.M., and was a post master of the former Occidental Lodge No. 215, A.F. & A.M. at Cedar Bluffs. His wife preceded him in death on February 18, 1988. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Louise Seligman Fleming.

He is survived by a son, Mervin Fleming of Bend, Oregon; a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Janet) Rice of Manhattan, Kansas; a brother, Curtis Fleming of Morse Bluff; sisters, Mrs. Alvin (Odette) Asay of Denver, Colorado and Jean Hoffman of Riverside, California; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Daniel Rice, Michael Rice, Dwain Jordan, Greg Jordan, Kent Jordan and Gary Kruger.

Mary Satorie was organist. Dick and Mary Satorie provided the vocal music.

Moser Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
