Lovina H. (Cross) Jones

Mrs. Lovina H. Jones died at the home of her son, Walter Jones, in Omaha, on Sunday of cancer of the breast, aged 72 years. She was born in Indiana and was married soon after the Civil War to Gustave M. Jones a brother of Andrew Jones of Blair. Mrs. Jones was a sister of Mrs. Andrew Jones and J. G. Cross and was a resident of Blair for a number of years. Her husband was a deputy sheriff under W. D. Gross, and afterwards a railway engineer and was killed at Papillion many years ago. Mrs. and Mrs. Andres Jones, H. G. Cross, Mrs. Robert Carmichael, Will, Fred, and the Misses Gussie and Effie Jones were in attendance at the funeral. Burial was made at Prospect Hill Cemetery by the side of her husband.
