The remains of Thomas Edison* Powell were brought to Blair from Valentine Wednesday morning and the funeral was held in the afternoon at the Congregational Church, Rev. Jones conducting the last sad rites. Death followed a short illness from pneumonia. Mr. Powell was 34 years of age, and was married twelve years ago to Miss Lillie Ireland, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Ireland. Beside his wife he leaves two sons and a daughter to mourn his demise.
