Services for Gerald "Jerry" Braun, 55, who died August 19, 1996 at his Lexington, Nebraska home will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 24 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington. Rev. Don Buhrman will officiate. Burial will be in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery.

A wake will be held August 23 at 7 p.m. at the church. Visitation will be Friday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel.

Gerald Braun was born September 8, 1940 at Humphrey, Nebraska to Remy and Alice A. Dohmen Braun. He graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in Columbus, Nebraska in 1958 and entered the U.S. Navy, serving until 1961.

He married JoAnn Stavas at Columbus May 23, 1964. They made their home in Columbus until 1967 at which time they moved to York, Nebraska. They lived there until moving to Blair, remaining until 1974 when they moved to Lexington.

He was owner of PVH Agri Sales, Inc. in Lexington.

He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, was active in the Knights of Columbus and belonged to numerous beef organizations. He also was interested in car racing.

He wa preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn of Lexington; daughters and son-in-law, Joan Braun of Lincoln, Nebraska and Jana and Phil Kopf of Lexington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Rose Braun, Don and Peggy Braun, John and Narka Braun and Rick and Lisa Braun, all of the Columbus area; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine and Jack Reuss of Grand Island, Nebraska; Judy Braun of Hastings, Nebraska; Jane and Bob Norman of Lincoln and Mary Lee and Pat Kluever of Dahlgren, Virginia; and two grandchildren, Jessica Kopf and Seth Kopf of Lexington.

A memorial has been established.
