Evelyn Brazil, 96, of Blair, died Saturday, May 5, 2007.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 10, at the Greenland Cemetery in Wayne.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Evelyn (Heikes) Brazil was born December 10, 1910, in Dakota City. She graduated from Wayne High School and attended Wayne State College and business school in Sioux City, Iowa.

On Aug. 21, 1932, she married Lawrence Austin Wamberg in Wayne. They lived in California, where she was employed as the assistant to the director of nursing at Atascadero State Hospital . She moved to Blair in the late 1970s.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharie McMaster of Blair; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Rayoma and Kermit Andrews of Bella Vista, Ark. and brother-in-law, Lyle Stern of Blair; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Wamberg; and her second husband, Alfred Brazil, whom she married in 1977; brothers, Stanley and Everett Heikes; sister, Iona Stern.
