|Services Held On Monday For Robert Fleming|
Funeral services were held Monday, July 28, at 10:30 a.m. at First Methodist Church in Blair for Robert Fleming, age 53, of Blair, who died July 24, 1980, in Park Rapids, Minnesota. Rev. John Petersen conducted the services. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.
Robert Fleming was born March 19, 1927, in Waterloo, Iowa, to John and Ruth M. Sullivan Fleming. He was married in June of 1950 in Blair to Marilyn Mencke. A salesman, he was a member of the American Legion and was a Mason. He was also a World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn of Blair, and two sons, Gordon Fleming and Kevin Fleming, both of Blair. One brother, Allan Fleming, Blair; one sister, Janice Fleming, Des Moines, Iowa; and his mother, Ruth Fleming of Blair, also survive him.
Pallbearers for he services were Bill Booton, Willard Gustin, Duane Harris, Dave Harris, Jim Scheffler and John Jensen. Dr. Donald Ehlers, Einar Hansen, Dr. Clifton Robinson and Richard Trofholz wee honorary pallbearers. Kathy Flynn was organist.
Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
