Lois Ellen Buchardt, 86, formerly of Fremont and Arlington, was born March 31, 1932, in Fremont to Robert A. and Nona M. (Hassen) Willmer and passed away June 22, 2018, in Springfield, Missouri.
She attended Fremont Public Schools and was a 1950 graduate of Fremont High School.
On Dec. 2, 1950, she married Emil E. Buchardt at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of which she was a lifelong member. Emil died Nov. 4, 1987. They had been married 37 years.
She was employed at Arlington Public Schools and USF&G Insurance Co. in Omaha.
She moved to Missouri in 2012 to be nearer to her children.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Anderson of Nixa, Missouri, and Denise (D. Michael) Corbin of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one son, Todd (Patti) Buchardt of Southlake, Texas; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, sister, Glorian “Mick” Wickham of Gravois Mills, Missouri; and sister-in-law, Nadine Sorensen of Arlington.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Jerry Anderson; and sister, Doris Arnold.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 28, at 11 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 109 N. Turner Blvd, Nixa, Missouri, with Rev. Jeffrey Sippy officiating. Family visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont at a later date.
