Ruth I. Fleming, 75

Ruth I. Fleming, 75, died on Nov. 2, 1988, as a result of an accident.

Ruth was born on Nov. 12, 1912, as the daughter of Gilbert and Louise (Johnson) Razey on a farm in Pleasanton, NE. She spent her childhood and early years in Pleasanton before moving to Omaha in 1929 to attend the Capitol Beauty School.

After completing her training, she returned to Pleasanton, where she married Albertis M. Lintz in 1932.

Mr. and Mrs. Lintz operated a beauty shop and barber shop during the Depression years.

The couple had two daughters, Kay Sonderup of Blair and Diane Hettrick of Omaha and one son, Jerry Lintz of Omaha.

In 1946 they moved to Kearney where Ruth had her own beauty shop in their home and Albertis had his shop uptown. In 1948 they moved to Blair.

Ruth worked for Edyth Atwood as an operator for 18 years. In 1967, Ruth married Alan L. Fleming of Blair and they went to Trinidad, the West Indies, and Madrid, Spain. After a year and a half in Spain, they returned to Blair, where Ruth worked for Wilkinson Manufacturing of Fort Calhoun for eight years.

Ruth retired in 1974 and her last six years were spent working as Assistant Manager of the Blair Nutrition Site.

Ruth Fleming was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Albertis Lintz and Alan Fleming, and one great-granddaughter.
