Randall "Randy" Lee Rademacker

On June 25, 2018, Randy passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce, Fla., after suffering a brain bleed caused by leukemia.

Randy was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, on Jan. 16, 1957, to John "Jack" and Lois (Podey) Rademacker, ninth of 10 children. He graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1975, studied at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy. He moved to Florida to be closer to his sisters, Debbie and Neoma "Tookie.” He was a free spirit, who loved life and loved the ocean. Randy had many things to be proud of, but most of all, he was proud of his children and grandchildren. He was the best father and grandfather anyone could ask for. He had the biggest heart and was loved by so many.

Randy married Jeannie Kilnoski in 1979. They divorced and he married Becky Baratta. He was blessed with four beautiful step-children: John, Gina, Jeremy and Jessica, and together they had two beautiful children of their own, Drew and Tess. In 2010, Randy discovered he had another beautiful daughter, Melissa. Four months ago, Randy met his soulmate, Carol-Ann Marty. They only had four months, but they lived and loved a lifetime.

Randy was preceded in death by both parents; step-father, Gus; and brothers, Jim and John.

Randy is survived by; sons Drew (Amy) Rademacker and John (Heidi) Baratta, all of Carroll, Iowa, and Jeremy (Nicole) Baratta of Omaha; daughters, Tess (Joey) Rademacker of Manning, Iowa, Melissa (Kevin) Wehrli of Blair, Gina (Will) Rose of Oakland, and Jessica (Aaron) Nepper of Carroll, Iowa; sisters, Debbie Martin and Neoma “Tookie” Smith, both of Sebastian, Fla., Jan Langholz of Glenwood, Iowa, Marlyce Schraeder of Denison, Iowa, Carol Ann Androy of Sacramento, Calif.; brothers, Jeff (Loretta) Rademacker of Lincoln, Jason (Michele) Eckermann of Harlan, Iowa; and his chosen brother Don Rhoten of West Des Moines, Iowa; girlfriend, Carol-Ann Marty of Vero Beach, Fla.; 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, July 13, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Ballroom at the Harlan Country Club, Harlan, Iowa. Randy requested that his ashes be spread in the ocean, which will take place at a celebration of life in Sebastian, Florida, at a later date.
