Services for Philomene Brenneis, 83, of Schuyler, Nebraska who died December 25, 1992 at Memorial Hospital in Schuyler were Monday, December 28 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Schuyler. Rev. Ralph Lammers officiated. Burial was in the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery at Lindsay.

Philomene Brenneis was born March 10, 1909 at Lindsay, Nebraska to Peter and Saraphine Burger Borer. She attended Lindsay Holy Family School.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was also a member of St. Mary's Guild.

She moved to Schuyler from North Bend in 1979.

She married Alois Brenneis June 4, 1929 at Lindsay, Nebraska. He preceded her in death September 5, 1968.

She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Philomeme Harriett; two brothers and nine sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Luella (Mrs. Elmer) Schroeder of Omaha and Marge (Mrs. Leonard) Janousek of Schuyler; five sons, Anthony of Lenexa, Kansas; Alfred of Cedar Rapids, Edward of Tekamah; Ernest of Blair and Joseph of Garden City, Kansas; 23 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one sister, Barbara Paulsen of Savannah, Georgia.

Svoboda Funeral Home in Schuyler was in charge of arrangements.
