In Loving Memory Marguerite M. Rinehart

July 16, 1913 ~ March 5, 1993

Marguerite M. Nowak was born July 16, 1913 in Greeley, Nebraska, the daughter of Lester and Genevieve Whalen Nowak. She married Rollin D. Rinehart on January 25, 1932 in Greeley.

Mrs. Rinehart attended the Nebraska State Teacher’s College in Hastings, Nebraska and later taught elementary school for a short time. She retired in 1979 as a cashier for Eagle Food Store in Bettendorf where she had been employed for 20 years.

She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and was a former member of the Retail Clerks Union, Davenport and the Davenport Moose Lodge 28.

Marguerite enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family.

On Friday morning at the age of 79, Marguerite passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital in Davenport. Those left to honor her memory include her husband; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Don Allen of Palm Harbor, Florida and Mary Ellen and Jim Dallman of Davenport; sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Eleanor Rinehart of Rockford, Illinois, Jack and Lucy Rinehart of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Bob and Pat Rinehart of Davenport and Steve and Marilyn Rinehart of Bettendorf; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Delores Nowak of Greeley and Tom and Shirley Nowak of Fortuna, California.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanette; a great-granddaughter, Misty Tamayo; a great-grandson, Steven Brady and a sister, Agatha Tarbox.
