Mrs. Nielsen, wife of Rev. H. Nielsen, pastor of the Danish Lutheran Church here, died at Emmanuel Hospital in Omaha at 10 o’clock Monday morning from a tumor, with which she had been afflicted for over a year. She was taken to the hospital just three weeks before her demise. The body was brought up to Blair yesterday morning and the funeral held at the Danish Lutheran Church at 2 o’clock this afternoon, Rev. A. Rasmussen, who married her to Mr. Nielsen June 9th, 1897, officiating, assisted by Rev. H. L. Jensen, of Kimbeton, Ia. Jennie Von Stocken was born in Denmark February 16th, 1865, and was therefore, past 57 years of age. She came to this country in 1881, settling at Albert Lea, Minn. Besides her husband she leaves an only son, Skriven, of this city. Also any only brother, Carl Von Stocken, of Albert Lea, Minn. The bereaved husband and son have the sincere sympathy of their many Blair friends.

#2-24 Aug., 1922 - The Enterprise - Jennie Nielsen

Mrs. H. Nielsen, wife of Rev. H. Nielsen, pastor of the Danish Lutheran church of this city, died at the Swedish Lutheran hospital in Omaha last Monday morning.

She had been in poor health for some time, and about a year ago submitted to an operation from which she never fully recovered.

Reverend and Mrs. Nielsen have been residents of Blair since last May, coming here from Minden, Iowa where they were located for a number of years. Since coming to Blair they have made many warm friends who sympathize greatly with the sorrowing husband and son.

A number of visiting pastors were present at the funeral services, and between thirty and forty members of their former pastorate in Iowa.

Funeral services were held in the Danish church on Wednesday afternoon, and interment made in the Blair cemetery.

#3-24 Aug., 1922 - The Tribune - Mrs. H. Nielsen

The funeral of Mrs. H. Nielsen, wife of the pastor of the local Danish church, was held yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Nielsen came here with her husband from Minden, Nebr. last April. She had been in poor health for some time, and died at an Omaha hospital where she was being treated for a tumor. Besides her husband, she leaves a grown son.
