Arlington Woman Dies; Mrs. A. J. Jungbluth, 43, Died Monday; Funeral This Afternoon

Mrs. A. H. “Bud” Jungbluth, 43, wife of an Arlington farmer, died Monday morning in Methodist Hospital in Omaha from complication following a major operation.

Funeral services are being held this afternoon at the Elk City Church.

Mrs. Jungbluth, as Helen Thorson, was born and raised in South Dakota, where she was married to Mr. Jungbluth. The couple farmed in South Dakota before moving to Washington County a number of years ago. The present home is southeast of Arlington.

Surviving Mrs. Jungbluth are her husband; two daughter, Irma of Omaha and Naomi, at home; a son Evan, at home; her mother, living in South Dakota, and other relatives.

Farm Mother Dies At Early Age of 43; Community Mourns The Death Of Mother Of Three Children

An entire community is mourning the death Alfonzo H. Jungbluth, mother of three and a resident of the Dale vicinity south of Kennard for nearly twenty years.

Mrs. Jungbluth, 43, passed away at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, early Monday morning. She had undergone a major operation the week previous, but had been well on the road to recovery, and her untimely death came as a great shock to her family and to her many friends.

Born in South Dakota on March 5, 1899, as Helen Thorson, the deceased, was married to Alfonzo H. Jungbluth of Dale on January 6, 1922, at Clark, South Dakota. The couple came to Nebraska in March of that year and with the exception of three or four years spent in Dakota they have reside on the same farm which they now own.

Funeral services are being held this Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Elk City Church. Commitment will be in the Elk City Cemetery.

Survivors include the husband and three children, Irma, 20, Evan, 18, and Naomi,11; also, her mother and a sister in Willow Lake, South Dakota. Mrs. Jungbluth was active in all affairs of the community, holding membership in a project club and also in the Elk City Ladies Aid.
