Missouri Valley--Funeral for Marjorie Ann Preston, 68, of Missouri Valley will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Missouri Valley with the Rev. Renee Mackey officiating.

Mrs. Preston died Sept. 3 at Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley.

She was born in Breda, graduated from Westside High School and attended Iowa State Teachers College. She taught school until 1951.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, UPW, Ruth Circle, Craft Group, Tuesday Club, Friends of the Library and the Sixth Street Coffee Club.

Mrs. Preston was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, in 1993.

Survivors include seven daughters, Barbara Preston of Sioux City, Mrs. Kevin (Darlys) Sylvis of Kennard, Neb., Mrs. Valerie (Kim) Preston of Marion, Mrs. Chris (Lisa) Jones of Auburn, Neb., Mrs. Steve (Michelle) Schommer of Norfolk, Neb., Mrs. Chad (Julie) Stork of Missouri Valley and Denise Preston of Missouri Valley; two sons, Craig of Cedar Rapids and Kyle of Missouri Valley; her mother, Margaret Sommer, of Wall Lake; a sister, mrs. Ray (Florence) Bargenquast, of Omaha; a brother, Melvin Sommer, of Vail; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Hennessey-Hurley-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley.

Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Garden at Missouri Valley.
