Veteran-Korean War

Gene Brennfoerder, 53, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, died Friday at Mercy Hospital.

Brennfoerder was a driver for Mainliner Motor Express Company in Omaha.

He was a member of Dodge Memorial Congregational Church and a Korean War veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Toni, daughter Andrea Swanger of Council Bluffs, step-daughter Kathy Mower, Janes and Corey Adkins, all of Council Bluffs, Douglas and Charles Adkins of Salt Lake City, Utah; mother, Mrs. Isabelle Brennfoerder, and sister, Earlene of Blair, sister Carole Bruce of Romeoville, Illinois, brother LeRoy Brennfoerder of South Sioux City, 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 13, 1987, at McCurdy Funeral Home Chapel in Council Bluffs.

Rev. Walter Simpson, pastor of the Congregational Church, will officiate.

Burial will be in the Hazel Dell Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
