Luebker, 67, Buried; Rites at St. Paul’s Church For Henry Edward Luebker, Arlington

Services were held Friday afternoon at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of here for Henry Edward Luebker, 67, Arlington farmer who died Apr. 19 at his home northwest of Arlington. Mr. Luebker had long been ill.

The Rev. Carl Hellmann officiated at the services. Pallbearers were Martin Westerholdt, William Popken, August Ruwe, Fred Bendjes, Russell Luebker and Howard Stuenkel. Interment was made in the church cemetery.

Mr. Luebker was born at Telbasta Oct. 22, 1881, and when 18 years old moved to Oakland with his parents. He and Matilda Niederhofer were married Feb. 23, 1911, and moved to the farm near Arlington which had been the family home since.

Surviving Mr. Luebker are his wife, Matilda; one son, Leonard; two brothers, Wally and August Luebker of Oakland; three sisters, Mrs. Niederhofer of Oakland, Mrs. Augusta Westerholdt of Pender and Mrs. Matilda Ruwe of Herman; and one grandchild.

RITES FOR HENRY EDWARD LUEBKER FRIDAY, APRIL 22

Funeral services for Henry Edward Luebker, 67, were held Friday afternoon at St. Paul’s Lutheran church north of Arlington with Rev. Carl Hellmann officiating. The congregation, with George Bluma as accompanist, sang “I’m But a Stranger Here” and “Heaven is My Home” and the choir sang “What a Friend We Have in Jesus”. Mr. Luebker passed away at his home here on their farm after an illness of several months. He was a good neighbor and faithful friend. He leaves to mourn his wife, Matilda, and son, Leonard at home. Pallbearers were Martin August Ruwe, Fred Benies, Russell Luebker and Howard Stuenkel. The Fred Bader Funeral Home of Fremont was in charge.
