Denny Laaker of Bennington was born on September 4, 1941. Denny served in the Navy from 1961 to 1963. He later worked at Western Electric for 40 years before retiring.

Denny married Mary Ann Sidebottom on October 2, 1965 at the Methodist Church in Blair. They lived in Bennington since 1966.

Denny died on Monday, June 4, 2018 at the age of 76. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Rosie; sister, Dianne; brothers- in-law, Bud Sidebottom and Ray Satterfield; sister-in-law, Ethel Saathoff; niece, Marcia Sidebottom; and parents- in-law, D.L. and Edith Sidebottom.

Denny is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; son, Mike; step granddaughter, Michaela; sisters-in-law, Edith Satterfield and Margaret Sidebottom; brothers-in-law, Larry Leehy and Paul Saathoff; and many nieces, nephews and good friends.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2018, from 1 to 6 p.m.,at the Arlington VFW, 218 W. Eagle, Arlington, Nebraska.
