Mr. Joe Harvey died at his home near Vacoma Tuesday evening. The funeral services were held at the Rose Hill Church and burial at Rose Hill. Mr. Harvey reside there many years and was well-known by residents of the town. A number attended the funeral from Herman.

#2-15 Dec., 1921 - The Enterprise - Joseph Harvey

Joe Harvey was born Jan. 20, 1852, in West Virginia, and died Dec. 6 at his farm home west of Spiker.

Mr. Harvey came west with his parents to Iowa, and after the death of his parents moved to Nebraska where he was married March 8, 1905 to Mrs. Mary Marsh who survives him as do also two brothers and two sisters who live in the west.

His brother, Mark Harvey was with him for some time previous to his death.

It has been the pleasure of the writer to have known Mr. Harvey for a number of years, and we have always held the deceased in the highest respect. He was intelligent, a good citizen and respected by his friends for his upright living.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 8, and interment was made in the Rose Hill cemetery. Rev. Underwood of Blair had charge of the services and the singers were from Herman.
