The funeral of Mrs. L. C. Sandau, of Council Bluffs, was held at the Methodist Church Wednesday at 2 o’clock. Carie Sandau was born in Denmark March 8, 1856. She was married to L. C. Sandau I 1884. They came to this country in 1888. To this union six children were born, Adolf and Mary born in Denmark, Emil, Halger, Line and Victor, were born in this country. Mr. and Mrs. Sandau and family resided in Herman from 1894 to 1903. Mrs. Sandau died October 31, 1921, after a lingering illness. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband and five children. Adolf, the oldest son having died when a young man. She was confirmed in the faith of the Danish Lutheran Church in Denmark which faith she held throughout life.

Rev. McClanahan is taking Rev. Bowden’s place while he is in the hospital in Omaha were he underwent an operation.

#2-10 Nov., 1921 - The Enterprise - Mrs. L. C. Sandow

Mrs. L. C. Sandow died at her home in Omaha on Monday last. The body was brought here on the early train Wednesday morning, and funeral services held at the M.E. church at 2:30, conducted by Rev. Kestersen. Interment was made in the Herman cemetery.
