James Franklin Rowlette, 80, of Omaha died Aug. 7, 2018, in Omaha. He was born Oct. 30, 1937 in Arlington.

James was preceded in death by brother, Edwin; and parents, Edwin and Estella Rowlette.

He is lovingly remembered by wife of 47 years, Yvonne; children, Mark, Cindy, Cathy, James and Christopher and wife Sarah; 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

With great sadness the family of James F. Rowlette announces his passing after a brief illness. Jim graduated from Omaha Tech High School in 1955 and soon began his lifelong career as a general contractor and carpenter. Jim served as a Cub Scout Leader and was one of the founding fathers of bicycle motocross in the Omaha area/

There is no visitation. A celebration of life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at Sievers-Spring Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Disabled Veterans National Foundation, 4601 Forbes Blvd., Suite 130, Lanham, MD 20706.
