Maxine Therkelsen, 92, of Blair, passed away Aug. 8, 2018, at Memorial Community Hospital. Services will be held Monday, Aug. 13, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Graveside services will follow in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, Aug. 12 at Campbell Aman Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m.

Norma "Maxine" Therkelsen was born Nov. 3, 1925, to Norman and Lucile (Johnson) Warrick. Maxine attended and graduated from Blair Community Schools. Maxine married Ted Therkelsen on Feb. 22, 1946. To this union, the couple had three children: Ronald, Janay and Rodney “Skeeter.”

Maxine was a lifelong resident of Blair. She held many jobs including working at Anderson Pharmacy, Blair High School and Huntel Telephone Company. She was active with the VFW Auxiliary, Blair Optimist Club, R.S.V.P. in Fremont and St. Mary's Episcopal Church. She also devoted her time to Good Shepherd and Crowell Home residents.

Maxine is survived by her children: Ronald Therkelsen of Bassett, Janay (Jim) Michael of Bennington, Rodney "Skeeter" (Ann) Therkelsen of Blair; sister, Helen Schneekloth; 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ted, parents and one grandson.

Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
