AUGUST J. ROGERT RITES THURSDAY

August J. Rogert, a brother of our townsman, Herman Rogert, died last Sunday, October 21 at his home in Albert Lea, Minnesota. The death came suddenly as the result of a heart attack.

He was born in Germany on June 13, 1892 and came to America with his parents when he was two years old. The family first settled in Omaha and then moved to a farm near Herman where he grew to manhood.

In 1915 he went to Minnesota where he farmed near Albert Lea. He was married to Miss Hannah Jensen in 1913. To them two children were born, Alton of Albert Lea and Mrs. Oscar Jardahl of Manchester, Minnesota. These, with the wife and four grandchildren, are the survivors of the immediate family.

Two years ago he retired from the farm and turned the farm over to the son. Besides the immediate family, he is survived by two brothers, Fred of Los Angeles and Herman of Blair and one sister, Mrs. C. Andersen of South Omaha.

Funeral services are being held this Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Albert Lea where interment will be made. Herman, the brother in Blair, is in attendance at the last sad rites.
