The funeral of Mrs. John T. Crum was held out at the Rose Hill Church last Wednesday afternoon, Rev. C. M. Foreman officiating. Mrs. Crum died at her home in Omaha June 6th, having given birth to a baby girl on May 27th. Besides the husband and daughter, she leaves her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Rasmus Christensen, one sister, Sophia Christensen, and three brothers, Clarence, Nels, and Leslie.

She was born near Brayton, Neb., November 9th, 1901, and was, therefore, but 19 years, 5 months and 27 days old. She gave her life for that of a child and was denied the pleasure of nursing and of loving it to girlhood and womanhood. Her heroism is as great as that of any soldier who lays down his life for his country, and in the end must receive as high reward from the hands of a just and all-wise God. The bereaved families have the sincere sympathy of many friends.
