Mrs. Julie E. Thompson died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. N. P. Lang, on Tuesday, May 31st. On account of the Danish Convention being held here the funeral service wasn’t held until Monday, June 6th, Dr. P. S. Vig and Rev. I Garretson officiating at the Danish Church. The body was taken to her old home in Hutchinson, Minn., the next day for interment by the side of her husband, who death occurred thirteen years ago. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lang and Mrs. M. T. Jensen, of Selma, Calif. She was born in Denmark, near Vejle, July 21st, 1850, and so was nearly 71 years of age. She came to this country in 1871 and was married to M. C. Thompson at Hutchinson, Minn., the following year. That was their home until his death occurred thirteen years ago, since which time she las lived with her daughters. She had been with Mrs. Lang for about two years before her death.
