Lucy Hoffman, of this city, but now living in Randolph, writes the Herald that her brother, George Hoffman died October 7th at Helena, Montana where he had been in business for many years. George was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hoffman, pioneer residents of this city, where he grew to manhood, his younger brother, Leonard, died in a few years ago in Manila, P. I. Mrs. Moorehouse is now the only one left of the Hoffman family. Mr. Hoffman left a wife and one son, Lloyd, aged 21 years who expect soon for training camp. Mrs. Moorehouse visited her brother last summer, he was then failing from cancer of the throat and had been to Rochester, but had received not encouragement for his case. He had disposed of his business and was waiting his time. George Hoffman is kindly remembered in Tekamah by his boyhood associates as a lovable young man and much sympathy is extended to Mrs. Moorehouse in the loss of her only brother.
