Peter Jeppesen died at the home of his only surviving child,out of seven,Mrs. Henry Drevsen, at 5:30 last Saturday morning of old age, being almost 88 years of age. The funeral was held at the Drevsen home, southwest of Kennard, at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon and was largely attended. Six of the Jensen brothers, acted as pallbearers, being old neighbors. The same six boy acted in a similar capacity when Mrs. Jeppesen died some nine years ago. Mr. Jeppesen was an old settler and was highly respected by all. He helped to conquer this part of the Great America Desert and has now left it "blossoming as the rose," in the season of roses. The obituary will be found in the Kennard notes. M. A. Sams had charge of the funeral and a number went out from Blair to attend.

A resident of the county since 1873 when he located near Orum where he resided up to the time of the death of his wife some 10 years ago, Peter Jeppesen died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Drevesen, southwest of Kennard, last Saturday, the 14th. Deceased was nearly 88 years of age.
