She was born in Blair, Nebraska on Dec. 31, 1899 and was 34 years and 7 days old at the time of her death. She was married to W. H. Bridge of Rapid City, South Dakota and to this union one child was born.

She is survived by her husband and daughter, Phyllis, 4 years old, also two brothers, Clifford and Elmer Munson of Omaha. Her parents preceded her in death some years ago.

Mrs. Bridge left Blair about 8 years ago, and after her marriage lived at Rapid City, South Dakota for six years, and for the past year made her home at Pierre, South Dakota.

Mrs. Bridge’s death was the result of burns received New Year’s day while she was fixing the furnace fire.

BURNS ARE FATAL TO MRS. BRIDGE

FORMER LILLIAN MUNSON OF BLAIR SUCCUMBS IN SOUTH DAKOTA

Victim of a tragic accident in which she was so badly burned that full recovery was practically impossible, Mrs. M.H. Bridge, 34, of Pierre, South Dakota, died Sunday night, January 7, in that city. She was the former Lillian Munson of this city.

Mrs. Bridge had been tending the furnace in the basement of her home of New Year's day when her clothing suddenly burst into flames. She was so badly burned that doctors practically gave up hope for her. She lived all week, though, and her condition showed signs of improvement until Sunday, when she lapsed into unconsciousness and died.

As Lillian Munson, she was born in Blair December 21, 1899. She attended the Blair city schools, graduating from Blair high school in 1919. About eight years ago she left Blair and went to Rapid City, South Dakota, where she lived until about two years ago.

She was married six years ago to M.H. Bridge of that city, and one daughter, Phyllis, was born. Phyllis, now four years old, and the father, in addition to two brothers, Elmer and Clifford Munson of Omaha, are the only survivors.

Funeral services were held last Wednesday in Rapid City, with interment there.
