Carl Otto Jensen passed away at his home seven miles south of Blair on last Monday night November 17, after an illness of about five weeks with lobular pneumonia.

Mr. Jensen was not considered ill at first but as the disease developed more alarming symptoms appeared all that local and Omaha physicians and a trained nurses could do, proved of no avail.

The week before his death his neighbors came in a body and went into his fields and husked out his corn a kindness that was much appreciated by the sick man and his family.

Mr. Jensen was a man of sterling worth, honorable and upright in his dealings with his neighbors and a man who believed much good of his fellow men.

As a neighbor and friend he will be greatly missed and in his home, the family will keenly feel the loss of a king husband and father.

Mr. Jensen was born in Horsens, Denmark, 1869 and was fifty years of age at the time of his death.

He came to America in 1885 and was married to Miss Carolina Christensen in 1905.

The widow and two daughters, Ida, age 13 years and Edna aged 3 years survive. Also four brothers, Nels Gorm Jensen, Andrew Jensen, Chris F, Jensen all of Blair and Pete Jensen of Hemingford, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held at the Danish Lutheran Church, Thursday November 30, Rev. Schultz having the service in charge and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.

The relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were: Jasper Jespersen of Hemingford, Nebr., Nels Jespersen of Idaho and Jens Jespersen of Des Moines, Iowa.
