John Rahlfs Dead

John Rahlfs, an old-time resident of this community, passed away last Friday, July 25, after a stroke of paralysis, the week previous. Up to that time he had apparently been in good health and the end came suddenly.

Mr. Rahlfs was born in Germany over seventy-four years ago and came to Washington County in 1869 where he has since resided.

He leaves a wife and four children who are as follows: Wm. H. and Frank of Arlington, Richard, of Bantry, N. D. and Adelia now Mrs. J. M. Holstein, of Tracy, Minn. He leaves also two brothers, Jacob, of Blair and August of Happy, Texas.

Funeral services were held from the residence Sunday afternoon at two o’clock and interment made in the Blair Cemetery.
