Leyn Fluckey Is Buried At Fremont

Funeral services were held Saturday, September, 18, at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington for Leyn L. Fluckey, 69, who died September 14, 1982, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.

The Rev. Herbert Kelly conducted the services. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Len L. Fluckey was born March 5, 1913, in Oakdale, Nebraska. He married Lorraine Giberson at Ainsworth, Nebraska, on March 21, 1938.

He had lived at Chambers, Nebraska, and at Fremont for several years prior to moving to Arlington in 1945. He was an auto mechanic and had worked at the Mead Ordinance Plant, Grant Chevrolet and Peterson Machine in Fremont and at Marshall Nurseries at Arlington.

He was a member of the Arlington Community Church. He also belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 200 in Fremont.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; and sons, Leyn R. Fluckey, Fort Calhoun; and James E. Fluckey, Papillion, Nebraska. Brothers, Gordon Fluckey, Hastings, and Loy Fluckey, Chambers; sisters, Mrs. Lorna Wilkinson, Fremont, and Mrs. Ivan (Leola) Stokes, Rupert, Idaho,; and six grandchildren also survive him.

Pallbearers were Tom Mensik, Randy Magill, Boyd Sanders, Charles Hansen, Carson Gaines and Richard Melvard.

Mrs. Alvin Voss was organist. Mrs. LaVern Schmidt was soloist.

Memorials may be made to the Arlington Rescue Squad or the Arlington Community Church.
