Fredericka Johanna Maria “Mary” Schneider (Schnider)

Mrs. Maria Schneider, 79 died Wednesday at 4204 Miami Street, following an illness of ten days. She was the widow of the late Sheriff Schneider of Blair. She is survived by five sons and three daughters, C.E.,E. C., F.F., and C.P. Schneider of Bennington, W. F. Schneider of Benson and H.H. Schneider of Pierce, Minn.; Mrs. H.C. Timme, Mrs. Julia Paulson and Emmeline P. Gottsch of Bennington. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 o’clock in the German Hall north of Bennington.-Benson Times.

Mrs. Schneider Deceased

The death of another pioneer and good mother of Washington County, Mrs. Marie Schneider, widow of the late Henry D. Schneider, former sheriff of this county and resident of Blair for several years, is reported from Omaha as occurring on Wednesday of last week. Five sons, all but one resident of the immediate neighborhood where they were born and reared survive. They are Charles E., E. C., C. P., F. F., residents of Washington and Douglas Counties, and H. H. of Minn. Three daughters, Mrs. Herman Timme, Mrs. Gustan Paulson and Mrs. Gottsch are residents of Bennington. The Schneider family were prominent in the early days in this county and contributed largely to the development of this county. The funeral services were held on Saturday and burial was in the German Cemetery close to the pioneer home of the deceased.
