Nettie Smith (Hudleson)

Mrs. Alva Smith died at an Omaha hospital last Monday from a revolver shot inflicted by herself with suicidal intent. She was a well-known and well-to-do, financially, member of the underworld in Omaha for a number of years and was married a couple of years ago to Alva Smith, born and reared in Blair, son of “Bigmouth” Jim Smith, as he was most generally known, now at the soldiers home in Burkett. Her estate is reported to be valued at $50,000. Alva was a hack-driver at Omaha for several years but in late years since his marriage, he has been operating a taxicab service.

~~~The Vig Files at the Danish American Archives lists her father as Samuel D. Hudleson FAG Memorial # 57412134. She was married to Alva Smith son of James Morseon Smith (FAG #57412187). Alva and Nettie were married in Omaha on April 30, 1895. There is a FAG #73053976 memorial for a Nettie Smith in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Omaha, Nebraska but it does not have a birth or death date. Alva Smith’s FAG Memorial is #143734761~~~
