Jack L. Schneider, age 74 of Blair, passed away Sept. 1, 2018, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Jack was born on July 22, 1944, in Spirit Lake, Iowa, the son of Ellsworth and Nellie Schneider. At the age of 5, the family moved to Lomita, Calif.. Jack graduated from Narvonne High School in Lomita in 1962, and then attended community college for two years. On Feb. 22, 1965, he was united in marriage to Sandra Wall in Lomita, Calif.

In 1965, the couple moved to Durango, Colo., where Jack became an apprentice lineman and later a journeyman lineman. The family later moved to southeastern Idaho where Jack continued to work as a lineman until his retirement. After his retirement they moved to Fallon, Nev., where he began working again for the city of Fallon for the next 6 years. In 2008, Jack and Sandra moved to Blair, to be closer to family. Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting and especially spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, John Schneider, and sister, Joyce Schneider Morin.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandra of Blair; daughters, Kimberly (Deron) Johnson of Mesa, Ariz., and Kelly (James) Barron; son, Rudy (Teresa) Schneider of Horace, N.D.; honorary daughters, Patricia Russell and Sandi (Bill) Bowersox; grandsons, Kyle, Collin, Tyler and Justin, granddaughters Emma, Sara, Jenna, who Jack lovingly referred to as his "ahh girls"; great-grandchildren, Jack, June and Bowie; along with his nieces, nephews and many friends.
