Nollen, 75, died Aug. 31, 2018, at his home in Blair. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Blair. Military services will follow at the Blair Cemetery with military honors. Visitation was held Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018, at Campbell Aman Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m..

Larry F. Nollen was born Feb. 27, 1943 in Harlan, Iowa, the son of Christopher and Beulah (Peerman) Nollen. He was raised in Harlan, and attended Harlan High School. On June 1, 1963, he married Janet J. Nollen and they had three children.

Larry served in the United States Army from July 1961 to July 1964.

Larry worked for Gibson's, Nebraska-Iowa Supply and then Blair Super Foods in Blair for several years until his retirement. He served on the Blair Fire and Rescue Department for many years. He was a member of the Blair Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Blair Eagles Ritual Team as well as the AmVets Post 8.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Renee (Nick) West of Blair; sons, Dale Nollen of Omaha.

Larry (Marna) Nollen Jr. of Columbus, Ga., Anthony Nollen of Industry, Ill.; daughters, Dawn (Eric) Hahn of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Kristy Davis of Harlan, Joan (Doug) Andersen, of Jackson, Iowa; brother, Ronald Nollen of Independence, Iowa; sister, Marie Greiner of Harlan, Iowa, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Doug and Nadeen Palmer of Elk Horn, Iowa; sister-in-law, Janet Palmer of Clearfield, Utah; grandchildren, Joshua, Shawn, Ashley, Kelley, Bryan, Erika, Justin, Deric and Britney; great-grandchildren Dylan, Chazzy, Ryker, Pyper and Avery; very special friend Deborah Wehrli of Blair; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Nollen; parents, Christopher and Beulah Nollen; step-dad, Chris Brink; sister, Leona Christensen and his brother, Bernie Nollen.
