His siblings were Paul, James, Charles, Mary, Hannah, and Frank.

He married Anna Petersen.

Their son was Irvin Charles Brodersen.

They are buried with their daughter-in-law Lillian Gladys Sloma Brodersen.

Their son Irvin is buried in Hastings, Nebraska with his second wife.

George worked for Nebraska highways for many years.
