Christian H. Broderson
Died on 8/23/1893
Buried in Thone Cemetery

Published in Pilot Tribune on 31 August 1893

Mr. C.H. Broderson, a widower living alone on the Darlin place in Grant township, and who is a brother to Supervisor R. Broderson and to D. Broderson, both living in the same neighborhood, was found dead lying on the bed in his house, last Thursday, by young Goodman, who called on business. Mr. Broderson was seen plowing the day before, and his team was in the stable with harness yet on, showing that he probably went to the house feeling unwell, and the presumption is he died from heart disease. In the absence of Coroner Pierce Sheriff Mencke went up there but on learning the circumstances did not deem an inquest necessary. The deceased had several grown children, we are told, living near him. He was something over 60 years of age. He was a native of Denmark and a member of the Danish Lutheran church. He was buried on Friday.

*His headstone at the Thone Cemetery is spelled Brodersen ~~~ Obituary courtesy of the Washington County Genealogical Society. Newspaper clippings on file in the Blair Public Library at Blair, Nebraska.~~~
