Services for Betty A. Brothers, 67 of Missouri Valley, Iowa who died February 24, 1993 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair were Saturday, February 27 at the United Methodist Church in Missouri Valley. Rev. Dick Krambeck officiated. Burial was in the Blair (Nebraska) Cemetery.

Betty A. Brothers was born October 6, 1925 in Kennard to Otto and Lizzie Chrsit Mencke. She married Robert M. Brothers January 6, 1946 in Hiawatha, Kansas.

They lived on a farm near Missouri Valley.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Canasta Club, Eagles Club and the Tuesday Club, all of Missouri Valley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Gertrude, Minnie and Pearl and a brother, Donald.

She is survived by her husband, Robert M. of Missouri Valley; a daughter, Roxanne Duysen of Omaha; sons, Robert E. of Omaha and Donald D. of Missouri Valley; sisters, Emma Hartley of Tacoma, Washington; Sophie Hineline, Helen Hineline and Opal Warrick, all of Blair; Martha Cushman of Newport, Nebraska; Norma Rappof Benson, Arizona; Delores Kochner of Lincoln, Nebraska; and Barb Aronson of Overland Park, Kansas; a sister-in-aw, Betty Carnes of Blair and four grandchildren.

Casket bearers were John Doty, Craig Cunard, Greg Christensen, Dave Osborn, Jim Divelbess and Dan Marquardt.

Honorary casket bearers were Jim Danker, W.A. Martens, Wilbur Busing, Wayne Oloff, Hugh Thompson and James Robinson.

James Doty was organist. Bill Cunard was soloist.

Arrangements were by Hennessey-Van Cleave-Hurley of Missouri Valley, Iowa.
