SERVICES FOR ELLA BROSS TODAY

Funeral services are being held today for Mrs. Ella Bross, well known Blair woman who died here Monday, October 1st. She was 74 years old.

She was the former Ella Reinhard. Mrs. Bross was the widow of the late Frank Bross, well known Washington County auctioneer. She was a former member of the Blair City Schools faculty.

Mrs. Bross was born at West Point, Nebraska April 17, 1888 and grew to womanhood there. Mrs. Bross taught school for a number of years at Herman before coming to Blair to become a member of the Blair City Schools faculty.

She was married to Frank Bross June 4, 1919 at West Point and they made their home continuously at 16th and Colfax in Blair where Mrs. Bross died. Mr. Bross died July 2, 1952.

She is survived by a daughter and a son, Mrs. C.K. Niehaus (Ruth) of Holdrege, Nebraska and by Raymond Bross, of Scottsdale, Arizona. There are three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bross was always an active member of the First Methodist church, she assisted regularly with the Red Cross and was a member of the Royal Neighbors lodge. She served as Recorder for the lodge at the time of her death. She was a Past Noble Grand and a past Secretary of the Rebekah Lodge.

Funeral services are being held today from the Campbell Mortuary with the Rev. Dale Westadt conducting the services. Burial will be made in the Blair cemetery.

Pallbearers are: Morris Simonsen, Richard Zimmerman, Carroll Thornburgh, Homer Nielsen, Stuart Maurer and Samuel Haller.

RELATIVES ATTEND ELLA BROSS FUNERAL

Mrs. Raymond Bross of Scottsdale, Arizona, Mr. and Mrs. C.K. Niehaus (Ruth Bross) and Betty of Holdrege, Nebr., their son, Charles Jr., of Colorado Springs and their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Don Anderson, of Elm Creek, Nebraska, were in Blair over the weekend to attend the funeral of their mother and grandmother, Mrs. Ella Bross. Other relatives were from West Point and Omaha.
