Remembering James E. Lathrop, who passed away at the age of 60 in his home in Logan, Iowa. Jim is survived by wife, Kathie, their two children James and Thomas, his parents Ted and Crystal, his brother Ted and wife Terri, granddaughter Kaylana R. Borquez.

Jim was born in Blair, Nebraska on July 19th, 1958. He grew up in Omaha, where he met Kathie Jensen, whom he married and had two children, Thomas and James. He had a wild passion for antiques and a love for his city, neighbors and taking care of his family. In the spirit of that, Jim and Kathie moved to Logan, Iowa to raise their boys in the beautiful Loess Hills. Jim worked at Logan Super Foods for more than 12 years, delivering smiles in the aisles and groceries every Friday to those who couldn't make it to the store. A man with a true heart of gold who never made any enemies, life's too precious to make war. Jim loved rock music and could "school any of those eggheads" on Jeopardy. He was a husband, a father, a friend, a comedian, a carpenter, an electrician, a legend, and he will be sorely missed here on Earth.

Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Logan Memorial Chapel in Logan, Iowa.
