Services were held March 27 at the Hennessey, VanCleave and Hurley Funeral Home in Missouri Valley for Calvin C. Broughton who died on March 23 at the Craft Care Center in Panora, Iowa. Reverend Edward Fish of the Presbyterian Church of Missouri Valley, officiated at the service. Interment was in the Magnolia Cemetery.

Mrs. Broughton was born in Modale, Iowa. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and the California Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Alyce of Missouri Valley; one daughter, LuAnn Fuhlrodt of Blair; one sister, Flossie of Modale, Iowa; four brothers, Hartzell, Herbert, and Ellsworth Broughton, and Clifford Gallentine, all of Modale, and a grandchild and a step-grandchild.
