MIKE BROWN DIES MONDAY IN FREMONT

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont, for Almon "Mike" Brown, 51, who died Monday afternoon of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Brown was a state probation officer and folks in this area will remember him as the person whose life was saved about a year ago, when Jean Blatter and Bob Bierbower applied CPR, after he suffered an attack at the Washington County Courthouse. Since that time he had been assigned to the Fremont office.

Mr. Brown was born August 17, 1932 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was in the United States Air Force from 1952 until 1972, and served in England, North Africa, Spain, South America, Thailand and the Philippines. The Browns had lived in Fremont for the past twelve years.
