ARTHUR BROWN BURIED AT BLAIR MONDAY, OCT. 20

Funeral services were held Monday, October 20th for Arthur James Brown, of Rockford, Ill., who died at the Americana Health Care Center at Rockford on Thursday, October 16th.

He was born at Calhoun, Iowa, August 14, 1902 and was 73 years of age at his death.

As a young man he came to the Blair area and for a number of years was engaged in farming. Some time later he moved to Rockford, Illinois, which was his home at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Marie and by three daughters and four sons.

The daughters are Mrs. Ardith Dalberg and Kathy Brown, both of Beloit, Wisconsin; and by Mrs. Vera Ratfield, of Kennard. The sons are Richard, of Rockford; Lloyd and Gerald, of Omaha, and James of Woodbine, Iowa.

A sister, Mrs. Margaret Russell lives at Pacific Junction, Iowa. There are 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
