ARLINGTON WOMAN'S MOTHER IS BURIED

Services were held Tuesday, October 4, at First Christian Church in Fremont for Bertha A. Brown, 95, of Fremont who died September 30, 1983, at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County.

The Rev. Doran F. Meyers officiated. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery.

Bertha A. Brown was born in Fremont on June 1, 1888. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Fremont.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Charles F. Eckert and John Brown.

She is survived by three sons, Herman Eckert of Cedar Bluffs, Robert Eckert and Harold Eckert, both of Fremont; and six daughters, Mrs. Rose Clason, Mrs. Lillian Peterson and Mrs. Christina Stewart, all of Hillsboro, Oregon, Mrs. Maude Cotton of Arlington, and Mrs. Ida Myers and Mrs. Florence (Peggy) Kincannon, both of Fremont. Five sisters, Mrs. Rosa Grubbs of Fremont, Mrs. Stena Kocour of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Mrs. Alice Fox of Greeley, Colorado, Mrs. Lucy Thompson and Mrs. Freida Grubbs, both of Schuyler; two brothers, Frank Reker and Theodore Reker, both of Fremont; 44 grandchildren; 95 great-grandchildren and 35 great-great-grandchildren also survive her.

Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church. Bader-Rozanek Colonial Funeral Home of Fremont was in charge.
