Joyce Elaine Konfrst, 71, of Glenwood, Iowa passed away on September 30, 2018 in Omaha, Nebraska. She was born on September 26, 1947 in Creston, Iowa to Maurice and Gladys Naomi (Miller) Porter.

Joyce was united in marriage to Melvin Konfrst on September 3, 1966 in Red Oak, Iowa. To this union two children were born, Brenda and Steve. The family resided in Glenwood and Joyce was the administrative assistant for their family waste disposal business. Joyce loved her grandchildren, and attended as many of their activities as possible.

Preceding Joyce in passing were her parents, brother Kenneth Porter, nephew Shane Erwin and great-nephew Tanner Porter. Survivors include her husband Melvin Konfrst of Glenwood, Iowa; children Brenda (Dan) MacDonald of Blair, Nebraska; Steve (Michelle) Konfrst of Glenwood, Iowa; grandchildren Shelby, Linnaea, Jake, Samantha and Quinn; siblings Shirley (Bill) Coons of Glenwood, Iowa; Carol (James) Clark of Pacific Junction, Iowa; Larry (Beth) Porter; Wayne Porter; Darrel (Teri) Porter all of Glenwood, Iowa; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

Honorary Bearers: Mark Konfrst, Randy Konfrst, Tim Konfrst, Chad Erwin, Greg Konfrst

Pall Bearers: Doug Konfrst, Scott Konfrst, Kevin Konfrst, Tim Porter, Larry Don Porter, Jim Williams

Interment: Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, Iowa

Following the interment, the family invites you to a luncheon at the American Legion; 104 N. Vine Street, Glenwood, Iowa.
