The infant child of Mr. and Mrs. John Hansen was laid in the "silent grave" last Tuesday afternoon. The services were held at the house by Rev. S.E. Bishop.
Note: there were Hansens living in the Herman, Nebraska area at the time, but the burial is not listed in Herman, Lincoln, Rose Hill, Thone, Prairie View, Lincoln Orum, Kennard, Blair or Holy Cross. Additionally, in those days, infant burials often were re-interred as the parents moved.
Note: the wording last Tuesday implies that the burial was not the same as "yesterday", but infant burial often took place the day following death. |
