FORMER BLAIR GIRL DIES IN PHILIPPINES

Tuesday’s Omaha paper contained the picture and announcement of the death of Jessie Tucker Case, 42, wife of R.W. Case of Manila, P.I. and daughter of the late Freeman S. Tucker, former Blair resident years ago, where Mrs. Case was born.

Mrs. Case with her husband went to Manila last August to reside, he having been assigned there by the government after being stationed at Fort Omaha for several years. Mrs. Case died of cerebral hemorrhage which followed a fractured skull received in a fall.

Mr. Tucker farmed near Blair for several years and also had charge of the county farm for many years. After moving to Florence, he was mayor of that city for many years.

A number of Blair people will remember Mrs. Case and regret her early demise. She was a charming lady, gracious and lovely as the picture shows. She was a cousin of Freeman Tucker, who resides on the Ella Price farm, east of Blair.

Note: there was no photo published in the Blair, Nebraska paper.
