OLD SETTLER PASSES

Funeral services were held last Sunday for Mrs. Anna Stange of 61 W. Park street, who passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, following a paralytic stroke. The services were conducted by Rev. Frese from the home and German Lutheran church and burial made in the Blair cemetery.

The deceased was born in Hondorf, Germany, May 13, 1850 and was united in marriage to Mr. Hans Stange at the age of twenty-six years. Together they emigrated to America in 1882 settling first in Council Bluffs and a year later coming to Blair.

Five children were born, three dying in infancy. Two sons survived, George, whose present address is unknown, and J.F. of Omaha. The husband passed away in 1893.

Mrs. Stange has lived in this vicinity for many years and has made many friends who regret her passing. The number in attendance at the funeral and the floral offerings presented testify to the love and esteem of her friends and neighbors.
