Thomas O. Miller age 84, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Thomas was born February 16, 1934 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Vince and Mattie (Milburn) Miller. Thomas graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs. He was employed with Griffin Pipe Company in Council Bluffs as a supervisor for forty years. Thomas was married to Barbara Ames, July 12, 1980 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Blair, Nebraska, Optimists Club, ten year member of the Hometowners Senior Choral Group, 14 year assistant Scout Master of the Boy Scouts. Thomas loved woodworking and had made many hobbie horses for children as well as jewelry boxes, he did home repairs and had built homes.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dennis.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Miller of Missouri Valley, Iowa, son: Dennis Duane Miller and wife Stephanie of Council Bluffs, Iowa, daughter: Sheri Smith of Bellevue, Nebraska, grandchildren: Kelsie Miller, Delaney Miller, Chloe Miller, Shelby Smith, Dalton John Smith, step daughter: Holli Cox and husband Dwight of Mondamin, Iowa, step grandchildren: Hannah Archer and husband Jacob, great granddaughter: Eleanor Archer, step son: Tim Burke of Texas, step grandchildren; Brandy Schratter and Mark, step great granddaughter: Daphne Schratter.

The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the church following the service.
