Arlene was born on March 8, 1922 in rural Kennard, Nebraska to Fred and Della Andreasen. She grew up attending March School and later Kennard High School.

On May 18, 1941 she was united in marriage to Robert H. Peterson in Hooper, Nebraska. They were blessed with two children.

The couple made their life on the farm where they raised their family.

They moved to Blair in 1974. At that time, Arlene began working at McDonalds hamburger place and then later as the receptionist at Loraine Gutschow’s Hair Salon and in Food Services at the Blair Memorial Community Hospital.

Arlene was a dedicated volunteer for many years at First Lutheran Church in the church office. She always enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her roses and was rewarded recently with yard of the week. Arlene enjoyed hearing from friends and family on her email account and playing solitaire in her free time.

Arlene Mae Peterson, age 96 of Blair was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior on November 15, 2018.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: David (Karen) Peterson and Kay (Lyle) Schjodt; grandchildren: Andrea (Kevin) Carlson, Michelle Schjodt, Deidre (Andy) Ochsner and Kali (Peter) Landmark; great-grandchildren: Mikayla, Zac and Kyan Carlson, Alexis and Delaney Ochsner, Elliot and Hannah Landmark; brother Jim Andreasen and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Robert and five brothers and sisters.

Memorial services will be held Monday, November 19 at 11:00 AM at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 18 from 6 to 8 PM at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Private family interment will be held in the Blair Cemetery.
